New and Expanded Features Make LightningFAX 6.5 Top Choice for Fax Messaging

Version 6.5 enhances Interstar's position as the leading provider of cross-platform, cross-application fax server technology worldwide. LightningFAX is an award-winning enterprise fax solution that gives businesses the power to fax-enable their entire network, allowing users to send and receive faxes through any Windows application, even through the company's e-mail system.

LightningFAX can be installed on Windows NT™, IBM® AIX™ or Sun® Solaris™ platforms. Users can send faxes directly from any Windows-based application, or they can do their faxing through Microsoft® Exchange/Outlook™, Lotus® Domino/Notes™, Novell® GroupWise™ or any SMTP-based e-mail server. LightningFAX supports Brooktrout Technology® and Dialogic® fax boards, fax modems, as well as existing fax machines.
Advanced new features include: centralized installation on Windows NT platforms, automatic synchronization with the Microsoft Exchange user database, compatibility with Microsoft Windows Terminal Server™ and Citrix® MetaFrame™, support of Dialogic VFX/40E-SC™ 4-port boards with both voice and fax capability, Class 1 and Class 2 fax modem support, as well as user mapping with the Hewlett-Packard® 9100c™ digital scanner, which lets users keep track of their outgoing faxes. LightningFAX also gives users the ability to access Microsoft Exchange Global Address lists, as well as the capacity to find faxes by Name, Subject, CSID, Fax Number, Date, or Status.
LightningFAX offers administrative features that increase support within enterprise environments. LightningFAX allows centralized administration of all fax servers on the network. Administrators can verify the status of each fax server, control server workload, stop and start fax services, and configure Least Cost Routing (LCR) rules. LightningFAX also lets the administrator allocate fax processes for the purposes of load-balancing and redundancy.
